Many computer books have extra material online for you to access. Some have material that compliments the book and then an extra paid section also. But When stated, they give you complimentary online material that is useful to the book in which you are studying.

This is not so with Cengage. The principals of Information Security clearly states additional course materials are online at their website. They claim the additional resource is a 5 question sample test, everything else is a fee. The book also gives you two codes, a printed code and an instant access code. Granted the printed code is ambiguous but the instant access code should be fairly straight forward. Cengage does not recognize this code and does not acknowledge that it is theirs.

How does a company not know what codes I am talking about in their very own book?

I would not recommend you doing business with this company.

They do not care about you, the consumer, the student, or anything except their bottom line. Most ridiculous publishing company on the planet.

Definitely sadistic, worst tech support ever, the expense of their materials is at least 3x-4x what any normal decent company would charge. Hmm I wonder if any of their executives give a *** enough to see these reviews, and wonder...

Oops we suck. :(
